
Layered Bean Dip
Inspired by a Pinterest Pin (original website archived) with a few adjustments. This is one of our favorites for a super bowl party.
For some variations, you can add a layer of olives or serve it warmed. We’ve also made this with a layer of avocado (mashed and mix with garlic salt and lime juice) which is probably best under the layer of sour cream.

Ingredients
- 1 oz taco seasoning (3-4 tablespoons)
- 1 can of refried beans
- 8 oz cream cheese (warmed to room temperature)
- 16 oz sour cream
- 16 oz Mild tomato salsa
- 8 oz Shredded cheese
- Finely shredded romaine lettuce (cut thinly and cross-cut to avoid long pieces)
- Freshly diced tomatoes
- Tortilla chips (for serving)
Directions
- Combine taco seasoning and refried beans and spread in the bottom of a casserole dish
- Combine cream cheese & sour cream and layer on top of the beans.
- Add a layer of salsa.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Add a layer of shredded lettuce.
- Finally, top with diced tomatoes.
- Optionally garnish with a little shredded cheese.
- Chill and serve with tortilla chips.
